Vanessa is currently on the faculty of the New England Conservatory's Preperatory Division and has been part of the faculty for Emmanuel Music’s annual Bach Institute for the past three years. She has been privileged to perform and coach as a guest summer faculty artist at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music since 2007 and has coached orchestra sectionals and chamber music for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra since 2004. For ten years, Vanessa was an adjunct faculty flute instructor for ten years at Phillips Exeter Academy including one year as Chamber Music coordinator. Other teaching engagements have included work with the Emerson Scholarship program at MIT and coaching a flute ensemble at Milton Academy.

She especially loves coaching chamber music and providing project-based private instruction that has previously involved preparing students for college and graduate auditions, substitute teaching, and sessions dedicated to honing a particular skill: sight reading, warm-up routine, practice coaching.
